Perry Vose, chariman of the Bitterroot Valley Bluegrass Festival last year
and a very vital member of the board, had devoted a great deal of himself
to the festival for many years. It is with deep regret that we must inform
you that he passed away at the end of January.

This family event, the 18th annual
Bitterroot Valley Bluegrass Festival will be held in Hamilton,
Montana. This is the only nationally recognized, annual family
Bluegrass Festival in Montana. Hamilton is located on Hwy. 93,
about 45 minutes south of Missoula.
Bring your own lawn
chairs or blankets and enjoy a great family outing.
Again this year, the
Festival will present the very popular "Instrument Workshops" for banjos,
guitars, fiddlers, mandolins and upright bass. This is where the
Festival attendees can bring their instruments, ask questions and learn
directly from
the professionals.
The festival will also
have a variety of art and craft vendors as well as a great selection of
delicious food booths.
Dry camping available
(no electricity, water or sewer hook-ups) for $10.00 per unit per day. The Fairgrounds has running water and restroom facilities. Due to
Fairground regulations, no alcohol, illegal drugs or dogs are allowed on the
site. For those traveling with their family pets, there are also dry
camping spots in a designated area of the fairgrounds. Camping sites will
be available starting on the Thursday before the festival on first come, first served basis.
